Josephine Taylor
Josephine Taylor is a Bay Area artist known for creating narrative drawings on enormous sheets of paper using diluted permanent ink washes. She was a recipient of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art SECA Award and was included in the California Biennial at the Orange County Museum of Art in 2004.
At Mullowney Printing Taylor has worked on our Dufa offset press to create variable edition monotypes of layered images utilizing delicate washes and brush work. Most recently, Taylor has also created photogravure prints from digital collages and old notebooks.
Josephine Taylor is currently Visiting Lecturer in Stanford University's Department of Art and Art History. She is represented by Catharine Clark Gallery.
